Walk The Terminals

Art at HNDDon’t spend your airport downtime sitting at the gate, take the opportunity to move your body by walking the terminals. There are lots of things to see at Tokyo Haneda Airport. Art exhibitions that showcase the history of Japan can be enjoyed in the Discovery Museum in Terminal 2 , visit a traditional Japanese shrine in Terminal 1 or view the model plane exhibit on the TIAT Sky Road passageway. Enjoy a taste of Japanese culture while getting in a little exercise before your flight.

Get Some Fresh Air

Observation DeckEnjoy some fresh air and runway views by spending the time before your flight on one of Haneda Airports observation decks. There are outdoor observation decks in all terminals at the airport, giving passengers the chance to spend their airport downtime outside, provided the weather is dry!In Terminal 1 and 2, the observation decks are open from 06:30 – 22:00 and in Terminal 3 you can access the observation deck 24 hours a day.Find a quiet spot in the fresh air and follow along with one of our guided meditation videos (find them over on the ‘Videos’ tab) so you can continue your journey feeling relaxed and energized.

Meditate

Prayer RoomA great way to get away from the busyness of the main terminal is to spend some time in the Interfaith Prayer Room. Most airports will have multi-faith prayer rooms available for travelling passengers. These are open, inviting spaces where guests are encouraged to be quiet and respectful and take some time for reflection. Choose one of our guided meditation-videos, which you can find over on the ‘Videos’ tab and use your airport downtime to relax and centre yourself.Prayer rooms are located in Terminal 2 (both before and after security) and in Terminal 3 (before security).

Stretch At The Gate

If you don’t have much time at the airport before your flight but still want to do something good for your body and mind, take the time to stretch and do some yoga. You don’t even have to venture far from your gate, find a little space and stretch and move your muscles before getting on your flight. Movement and exercise can help with circulation and make it much easier to relax and even sleep on the plane. There are lots of video tutorials you can follow in the Sanctifly app and none of them requires equipment or very much space. You can find them over on the ‘Videos’ tab. Take ten minutes to move your body before catching your flight you won’t regret it!
