Gimpo International Airport in Seoul is South Korea's domestic hub and serves some regional routes to Japan and China. The Metro Line 9 and AREX connect directly to central Seoul in about 20–30 minutes. The airport is close to the Banghwa hill area and Ilsan district, but central Seoul's Hongdae and Mapo neighbourhoods are the primary layover draws.
