Meditate
Reflection RoomGet away from the noise and chaos of the airport by spending your airport downtime in the Reflection room. This is a non-denominational space for contemplation, meditation or reflection. Choose one of our guided meditation videos, which you can find over on the ‘Videos’ tab and use your airport downtime to relax and centre yourself. Meditation is a great tool to help reduce travel stress and help you to feel more energised as you take on the next portion of your journey.Located after security in the Gate Central Link, near Gate D16.
Enjoy The Airport Art
The Light Tunnel & the Water FeatureThe LED Light Tunnel in the McNamara Terminal is one of the most famous airport art displays in the world. The 700ft display features thousands of flashing LED lights set to an original musical score. Enjoy an amazing multi-sensory experience and get in a little exercise as you walk from one end of the tunnel to the other.Another amazing feature to visit at DTW is the Water Feature. The majestic fountain is 39 ft wide and offers a nice place to sit and relax while waiting for your flight.
Stretch
If you don’t have much time at the airport before your flight but still want to do something good for your body and mind, take the time to stretch and do some yoga. You don’t even have to venture far from your gate, find a little space and stretch and move your muscles before getting on your flight. Movement and exercise can help with circulation and make it much easier to relax and even sleep on the plane. There are lots of video tutorials you can follow in the Sanctifly app and none of them require equipment or very much space. You can find them over on the ‘Videos’ tab. Take ten minutes to move your body before catching your flight you won’t regret it!
