Meditate

Interfaith ChapelA great way to get away from the busyness of the main terminal is to spend some time in the Interfaith Chapel. Most airports will have multi-faith prayer rooms available for traveling passengers. These are open, inviting spaces where guests are encouraged to be quiet and respectful and take some time for reflection. Choose one of our guided meditation-videos, which you can find over on the ‘Videos’ tab and use your airport downtime to relax and centre yourself. The chapel is located at the south end of Concourse B, across from the Delta Airlines gates (behind Dunkin’ Donuts). Some scheduled religious services are practised in the chapel. Visit the website to see the schedule.

Walk The Terminals

Don’t spend your airport downtime sitting, waiting at the gate. Take the opportunity to move your body and get some light exercise by walking the terminals. Walking is especially useful if you are taking a late-night flight as it can help tire your body so you can sleep easier on the plane. Finish your walk by following our ‘Yoga to help you sleep on the plane’ routine, which you can find over on the ‘Videos’ tab and catch your flight feeling relaxed and ready to rest.

Stretch At The Gate

If you don’t have much time at the airport before your flight but still want to do something good for your body and mind, take the time to stretch and do some yoga. You don’t even have to venture far from your gate, find a little space and stretch and move your muscles before getting on your flight. Movement and exercise can help with circulation and make it much easier to relax and even sleep on the plane. There are lots of video tutorials you can follow in the Sanctifly app and none of them requires equipment or very much space. You can find them over on the ‘Videos’ tab. Take ten minutes to move your body before catching your flight you won’t regret it!
