Meditate
Spend your airport downtime taking care of your mind. Travel can be stressful, even for the most experienced flyer. Meditation is a great tool to help reduce travel stress and help you to feel more energized as you take on the next portion of your journey. Find a quiet spot in the airport (empty gates are great for this!) and follow along with one of our guided meditation videos. Close this article and go to the ‘Videos’ tab to find them. Make your airport downtime work for you by spending it doing something good for your body and mind.Choose one of our guided meditation-videos, which you can find over on the ‘Videos’ tab, and use your airport downtime to relax and centre yourself.
Relax
Visit an airport loungeUpgrade your airport experience by spending it in an airport lounge. Enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks in a relaxed setting at Escape Lounge. Enjoy some time away from the busyness of the airport and de-stress before continuing your journey.Entry to the lounge costs $45. There are two Escape Lounges located in SMF. One on Terminal A (open from 04:30 – 22:00) and the other in Terminal B (open from 05:00 – 20:00).
Stretch At The Gate
If you don’t have much time at the airport before your flight but still want to do something good for your body and mind, take the time to stretch and do some yoga. You don’t even have to venture far from your gate, find a little space and stretch and move your muscles before getting on your flight. Movement and exercise can help with circulation and make it much easier to relax and even sleep on the plane. There are lots of video tutorials you can follow in the Sanctifly app and none of them require equipment or very much space. You can find them over on the ‘Videos’ tab. Take ten minutes to move your body before catching your flight you won’t regret it!
