Have you got an hour to spare at Sydney Airport? Check out these options to make the most of your airport downtime.
Meditate
Prayer RoomA great way to get away from the chaos of the main terminal is to spend some time in the Prayer Room. Most airports will have multi faith prayer rooms available for traveling passengers. These are open, inviting spaces where guests are encouraged to be quiet and respectful and take some time for reflection. Choose one of our guided meditation videos, which you can find over on the ‘Videos’ tab and use your airport downtime to relax and centre yourself. Open daily from 5:00 – 22:00.Located in Terminal 1, after security on level 3
Freshen Up
Free Shower RoomsIf you are spending a few hours at the airport waiting for your flight you may want to freshen up before continuing your journey. There are free showers available to traveling passengers at Sydney airport. You need to bring your own towel and soap, so make sure you put those in your carry on before checking your bag. If you forgot, don’t worry, you can pick up everything you need in the retail outlets. The showers are open daily from 5.30 – 21:30.There are multiple showers throughout the airport. Find them at the general check-in area near check-in counters A and K on the Departures level and after security near Gate 31, Gate 51 and Gate 24 (male only) on the Departures level.
Stretch
If you don’t have much time at the airport before your flight but still want to do something good for your body and mind, take the time to stretch and do some yoga. You don’t even have to venture far from your gate, find a little space and stretch and move your muscles before getting on your flight. There are lots of video tutorials you can follow in the Sanctifly app and none of them require equipment or very much space. You can find them over on the ‘Videos’ tab. You won’t regret it!
