Aviation Interfaith MinistryA great way to get away from the busyness of the main terminal is to spend some time in the Interfaith Prayer Room. Most airports will have multi-faith prayer rooms available for traveling passengers. These are open, inviting spaces where guests are encouraged to be quiet and respectful and take some time for reflection. Choose one of our guided meditation-videos, which you can find over on the ‘Videos’ tab and use your airport downtime to relax and centre yourself. There are two interfaith chapels at Toronto Pearson Airport. Both are located landside so make sure you take advantage of them before you head through security in Terminal 1 and in Terminal 3. Although the space is designated as interfaith, some Christian and Catholic services are conducted within the chapel from time to time. Visit the website for more details. If you have passed through security and still want to take some time for meditation, unused or empty gates are great spots in the airport to get some peace and quiet.

If you don’t have much time at the airport before your flight but still want to do something good for your body and mind, take the time to stretch and do some yoga. You don’t even have to venture far from your gate, find a little space and give your body a much-needed stretch muscle movement before getting on your flight.
