Visit The Park

Parque Forestal de ValdebebasGet out of the airport and into the fresh air by spending your airport downtime at the park. Parque Forestal has 32km of walking trail, 5km of cycling lanes, picnic tables, resting areas and playgrounds. Go for a run or walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery or find a quiet spot to sit and meditate and enjoy the fresh air. There are several guided meditation videos you can follow to help relax and enjoy your time at the park. Find them over on the 'Videos' tab.It is located 4.7 miles from the airport. The quickest and easiest way to get there is by taxi.

Take A Nap

Air RoomsSometimes the best way to spend your airport downtime is by truly relaxing and taking some time for yourself. Book a room at the Air Rooms in MAD and use your airport downtime to catch up on rest and refresh before continuing your journey.Air Rooms has 22 guest rooms located in the airport available to rent for day use (3-6 hours between 10:00 and 18:00) and overnight. All room shave a private bathroom and shower, T.V., air conditioning and more. They are located in the public area of Terminal 4. Please note that the Air Rooms are not accessible from the transit areas so you will need to pass through security to access them. Open daily or 24 hours.

Visit Local Sights

Parque El CaprichoSpend your airport downtime strolling around Parque El Capricho and enjoying some local historical sights. The park is full of interesting sculptures, landscaped gardens, historic forts and more. Enjoy the Spanish sunshine and get in a little exercise by spending your downtime strolling through the park and discovering all it has to offer.It is located 2.9 miles (4.7km) from the airport. The quickest and easiest way to get there is by taxi. Alternatively, you can take the 827 bus to Av.logroño-Parque El Capricho.
