The Mississippi River Trail is a 3,000-mile bike and pedestrian trail that follows the Mississippi River from Minnesota to Tennessee. Go for an invigorating run or a relaxing stroll along the trail and enjoy being out in the fresh air and surrounded by nature during your airport downtime.Join the trail at the historic site of LaSalle's Landing, located just 1.5 miles from the airport, just look out for the MRT signs. Grab a taxi or, if you have a little more time, you can walk there in approx. 30 min.

Visit The Park

Lafreniere ParkIf you don’t feel like running or walking on the Mississippi River Trailhead to Lafreniere Park instead. This park has an open meadow area, the perfect spot to sit and relax and enjoy the fresh air and the sunshine. If you feel like getting active there is a 2-mile jogging path that circles the small lake in the middle of the park.Located 4.3 miles from the airport. The quickest and easiest way to get there is by taxi.
