Run/Walk in the Park

Westpointe ParkEscape the hustle and bustle of the airport and get out in the fresh air with a trip to Westpointe Park. Enjoy a brisk run along the jogging trails throughout the park or take a calming stroll and enjoy the scenery. Getting out in the fresh air and surrounding yourself with nature is a great way to relieve stress. The park also has 2 tennis courts and 1 basketball court. There is also a restroom with a drinking water fountain so you can re-hydrate after your run. Unfortunately, there are no luggage storage options available at the airport so you will need to bring your bags with you.Westpointe Park is located 6.3 miles from the airport. The fastest and easiest way to get there is by taxi. Grab a taxi from the airport terminal and you will arrive at the park in approx. 10 minutes. The park is open daily from 07:00 to 22:00.

Enjoy Some Local Sights

Temple SquareEscape the busy airport and spend your airport downtime exploring Temple Square. Enjoy this 10-acre complex, which is owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is cited as the most popular tourist attraction in Utah. Visit the Salt Lake Temple, the Family History Library, the Church History Museum, The Beehive House, the Church History Library, or more. There are plenty of activities to do at the square. Learn about the unique history of the area and enjoy the beautiful architecture set against the iconic dusty mountains of Utah State. Temple Square is open daily from 09:00 – 21:00 and admission is free.Located 8.4 miles from the airport, the best and quickest way to get there is by taxi.

Planet FitnessDon’t let travel disrupt your fitness routine. Use your airport downtime to workout. Head to Planet Fitness for a full-service gym with cardio equipment, free weights and more. Hydromassage beds and massage chairs are also available. Work up a sweat and then freshen up with a shower before heading to the airport for your flight.
