If you have a longer layover at MAN, take advantage of your time and explore the city. Downtown Manchester is located just 9.2 miles from the airport and is well connected via public links. Manchester is a major city in the northwest of England with a rich industrial heritage. Spend your layover exploring the many museums, historical sites and galleries. If you have a longer layover but do not want to spend it exploring the city, use it to explore the natural landscape instead. The Peak District National Park is located 14.2 miles from the airport.
