Head downtown
If you have a long layover at Orlando International Airport, why not take the opportunity to get out of the airport and explore the city? The airport is located 11.2 miles from downtown Orlando and is well connected via direct public transport routes. See transport options below. Downtown Orlando has lots of public art displays and city parks, walking through the city and enjoying the sights is a great way to spend your airport downtime. Always make sure you leave plenty of time to get back to the airport and through security before your next flight.Transport Options
Bus: The public bus service in Orlando is known as the Lynx. Bus routes to downtown Orlando and the surrounding areas depart from Level 1 of the A-side of the Main Terminal. Fares cost $2 from the airport to downtown. The number 51 and number 11 buses offer direct routes to the city centre.Train: There is no train station at the airport however passengers can connect to the SunRail transport network via the Sand Lake Road SunRail station. The Lynx (local) bus takes passengers from the terminal to the train station and departs from Level 1 of the A-side of the Main Terminal. The SunRail line operates Monday to Friday from 05:30 – 21:30.Overnight Layover?
