Head downtown

If you have a 6+ hour layover at Frankfurt why not get out of the airport and enjoy the surrounding area? PDX is located 12.4 miles from downtown Portland and is well connect via public transport links. Spend your day strolling through the city soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of the cultural city or spend your time in one of the many parks dotted throughout the city. Always make sure you leave plenty of time to get back to the airport and through security before your next flight.

Avoid downtown

If you have a longer layover but don’t want to spend it in the city, why not head to Colwood Golf Center and play a round of golf? The golf club is located just 3 miles from the airport and offers layover passengers the chance to get out in the fresh air, get some exercise and have some fun without venturing too far from the airport. Green Fees are just $12 for 9 holes - Value! The quickest and easiest way to get there is by taxi or you can walk to the course in just under an hour.

Transport Options

Rail: The airport is connected to the city via the MAX Light Rail System. The Red Line departs from the airport station every 15 minutes and brings passengers to downtown Portland in approx. 30 minutes.Taxi: Taxis are available on the lower roadway in the centre of the Departures and Baggage Claim level.

Overnight Layover?
