Head downtown

If you have a longer layover at SEA why not head to downtown Seattle? SEA is located just 13 miles from downtown Seattle and is well connected by public transit routes. Seattle is a hub of culture, with lots of museums, a thriving music and food scene and so much more. If you do head downtown on your layover, make sure you leave plenty of time to get back to the airport and through security before your flight.

Avoid downtown

If you want to get out of the airport on your layover but don’t want to head downtown, consider going for a hike at Seahurst park. Enjoy breath taking views of the inlet, explore the forest trails or simple sit and enjoy the fresh air while surrounded by nature.Located just 5.5 miles from the airport, Seahurst park offers a great outdoor experience without venturing too far from the airport. The quickest and easiest way to get to the park is by taxi. Alternatively, you can get the 560 bus from the airport to Ambaum Blvd SW & SW 136th St and walk for approx. 25 minutes to get to the park.

Overnight Layover

If you have an overnight layover at SEA and want to get a good night sleep there are many options available to you near the airport. The Crowne Plaza Seattle Airport is a great option for overnight travelers. The hotel is located just 1.8 miles from the airport and offers a fitness center, open daily from 05:00 - 23:00 and a free shuttle bus from the airport.If swimming is your fitness activity of choice, head to the Hampton Inn & Suites Seattle Kent. Located 3 miles from the airport, the hotel has a pool and fitness center available for guests.
