Head Downtown
If you have more than 6 hours to spare at Sydney airport why not get out of the airport and head downtown? See the sights and sounds of the city by joining an ‘I’m free’ Walking Tour. Although downtown Sydney is very close to Sydney Airport make sure you leave enough time to get back to the airport and through security before your flight, especially if you are traveling at rush hour.Transport options
Bus: Sydney Bus route 400 offers a scheduled service between Bondi Junction and Burwood, stopping at designated bus stops on the Arrivals Level of Terminals 1 and 3.Taxi: Taxi terminals are available outside the terminal. This is the most efficient way to get to downtown Sydney and is the best option if you are worried about time. Downtown Sydney is approx. 9.3 miles from the airport.Train: Trains from the airport can be caught at both Terminals and connect to the City Circle line in central Sydney.Overnight Layover?
