Head downtown

If you have a long layover at HND, take advantage of the airport’s close proximity to the city centre and explore downtime Tokyo. The airport is located just 11 miles from the city centre and is well connected via public transport links. There is so much to do and see in the vibrant city, ranging from historic sites that showcase the history of this ancient culture to the bustling high streets packed with stores that are every shopper's dream. Transport Options

Train: Haneda airport is directly connected to the Keikyu Line and the Tokyo Monorail Line. Taking the Keikyu Line from the airport to Shinagawa Station in downtown Tokyo will take approx. 15 minutes. Bus: Several bus routes connect Haneda Airport to downtown Tokyo and the surrounding areas. The Airport Transport Service and Keikyu Bus both operate routes to and from the airport. Getting to downtown Tokyo from HND will take you approx. 35 minutes. Bus stops are accessible from every terminal.

Overnight Layover?

If you have an overnight layover at HND and want to get a good night’s sleep, there are many options available to you. The Royal Park Hotel is located on the airport grounds and even has an access point in the transit area so you do not have to pass back through security to check-in. There are several other hotels located close to the airport, most of which offer free airport transportation to guests.

Luggage Storage

There are several luggage storage options at Tokyo Haneda Airport.
  • International Terminal: Located in the Arrival and Departure lobbies. Rates start from 300 YEN. Open 24 hours. Coin-operated storage lockers are also available for smaller items.
  • Terminal 1 & 2: Located in Terminal 1, B1F and in Terminal 1, B1F. Open daily from 06:00 – 22:30. Coin-operated storage lockers are also available throughout both terminals. for smaller items.
