Head Downtown
If you have a long layover at Toronto Pearson Airport, take the time to head downtown and explore the city. The airport is located approx. 18.6 miles from downtown Toronto and is well connected via public transport links. Make sure you leave plenty of time to get back to the airport and through security before your next flight. If you feel that downtown Toronto is too far to travel to during your layover you could visit Mississauga instead. This city is much smaller than Toronto and does not have as many sights to explore but is still recommended as a nice place to visit.
Transport Options
The Union Pearson Express, or UP Express, is an express train that runs between the airport and downtown in just 25 minutes. It departs the airport every 25 minutes. Visit the website for more information.
Overnight Layover?
If you have an overnight layover and want to get a good night’s sleep head for the Sheraton Gateway Hotel. Get all the luxuries of a full-service hotel including access to the 24-hour fitness centre with a pool and sauna. Unfortunately, there are no sleep options available in the transit area of the airport.
