If you have more than 6 hours to spare at IAH, why not take the opportunity to head into the city? Downtown Houston is 20.4 miles from the airport. The quickest and easiest way to get there is by taxi. The 102 bus connects Terminal C to downtown Houston however this will take over an hour to get you to the city. Make sure you leave plenty of time to get back to the airport and through security before your next flight.Avoid downtown
If you have a longer layover but don’t want to spend it in the city, there are some great hiking options close to the airport. The Spring Creek Greenway is accessible from Jesse H.
