The city centre is located 10.5 miles from the airport and is connected via the No. 20 Bus. Spend your layover exploring the streets and visiting historic sites, strolling by the river and enjoying the view or soaking up the amazing culture and atmosphere of the city. Make sure you leave plenty of time to get back to the airport and through security before your next flight.Avoid downtown
If you have a longer layover but don’t want to spend it in the city, why not rent a kayak and spend the day on the Colorado river? Head to EpicSUP and choose from single or double kayaks or stand up paddle boards. EpicSUP is located on the tranquil and wide expanse of Lady Bird Lake near the Austin Boardwalk’s East end. The closest to the airport are the Hyatt Place Austin Airport and the Hilton Austin Airport.
